A placement option for your completers

A placement option for your completers. Students verify their ID and show their skill on video. Free for candidates, nothing for your institution to buy.

Vetano is a verification-first hiring platform for skilled trade and hourly work. Candidates record short proof of their skill on video, verify their identity against a government ID, and employers hire from that. Free for candidates. Employers pay to post. Nothing for the institution to buy, sign, or integrate.

See an ID-verified video reference.

Instructors can record a short video reference for each graduate, right on the graduate's Vetano profile. The instructor verifies their own ID first, so employers know the reference is real. See how references work.

What your completers do

  • Create a free profile in the Vetano app
  • Verify their identity against a government ID
  • Record a short intro video
  • Record a proof-of-skill video of their actual work
  • Apply to jobs, free

What employers see

  • Identity confirmed against a government ID
  • An intro video in the candidate's own words
  • The work itself on video, before any interview
  • Certifications the candidate lists on their profile

On the employer side, the person who creates a company account verifies their identity against a government ID. Company-level verification through DUNS and similar checks is coming, and we will say so when it is live.

We will tell you what happened

Your institution gets its own code. Every student who signs up through it is counted to you, so you are not guessing whether this worked.

Each month we send you two numbers for your campus: profiles created, and identity verifications completed.

Hires are marked by employers in the app, so we cannot promise a complete count. When one is reported for a student who came through your code, we pass it along.

Each reported hire comes from the employer, so it is a record your team can use alongside its own placement documentation.

No student names, no individual records, unless a student asks us to share theirs with you. Students enroll themselves, so your institution never sends us an education record.

Where employer demand is today

Employer demand is concentrated in Connecticut, New York, and New Jersey right now, and it is expanding city by city. If your campus sits outside those areas, tell us where your students are and we will be straight with you about what they will find today.

Wherever your graduates are, they can attach their Vetano profile link to any job application, so their verified identity, skill videos and references go with them.

What Vetano does not do

  • No background checks
  • No credit checks
  • No license or credential verification
  • No employment eligibility verification
  • Not an employer of record

Your graduates have the skills employers say they can't find. Vetano lets them prove it.

Employers are hiring: the construction industry alone needs 349,000 new workers in 2026 (Associated Builders and Contractors, January 2026).

  • 86% of hiring managers say AI makes it too easy to exaggerate on a resume. With Vetano: employers see the person do the work on video, and every profile is ID-verified. Source: Express Employment Professionals and Harris Poll, 2026.
  • 94% of executives say qualified middle-skill candidates are screened out for not matching a job description's exact criteria. With Vetano: employers judge the work itself, not keywords on a page. Source: Harvard Business School and Accenture, Hidden Workers: Untapped Talent, 2021.
  • 50% of construction firms say available candidates lack the needed skills, certificates or licenses. With Vetano: your graduates show their skills on video, backed by an ID-verified reference from their instructor. Source: AGC of America and NCCER, 2026 Workforce Survey.
  • 45% of companies that dropped degree requirements did so in name only, with no real change in who they hired. With Vetano: employers get a way to hire on skills, by seeing the work instead of the degree. Source: Harvard Business School and Burning Glass Institute, 2024.
  • 70% is the employment benchmark ACCSC sets for career school programs, and only employment the school can verify counts toward it. With Vetano: more graduates seen for what they can do, and when an employer hires one, they mark it in the app and we pass it along. Programs this fits

If your students can do the work, they can show it. These are the program areas Vetano is built for, where a short proof-of-skill video does the most work.

  • Electrical. Panel work, rough-in, and troubleshooting on camera.
  • Plumbing and HVAC-R. Brazing, diagnostics, and installs your completers already practice.
  • Automotive and diesel. Bay work, brakes, and diagnostics shown end to end.
  • Restaurants and culinary. Knife work, line speed, and service under pressure.
  • Manufacturing and CNC. Machine setup, tolerances, and shop-floor routine.
  • Construction. Layout, framing, and site work as it actually happens.
  • Cosmetology and barbering. A fade, a color, a full service, start to finish.
  • Healthcare support roles. Skills-lab demonstrations only. No patients on camera, no clinical settings, practice-lab work.
  • Welding. Bead work and fit-up, one of the clearest skills to show on camera.

Show what you can do

For students and new grads: takes about 15 minutes, free, works from your phone. The app and the handout are in English and Spanish.

  1. Verify your ID with a one-time government ID check in the app.
  2. Record a 30 to 60 second intro in your own words.
  3. Record your actual work, so an employer sees the skill before they meet you.

The printable student handout is available in English and Spanish, and we can personalize it with your institution's name and code.

Proof last. Or proof first.

Without Vetano: Resume, self-reported. Phone screen, sounds right. Interview 1, talks about the work. Interview 2, talks about it again. Interview 3, panel, references by phone. Hire, still unproven. Day 1: Proof, you find out if they can do the job.

With Vetano: Proof, ID verified, skill and references on video. Resume, optional. Phone screen, optional. Interview, confirms what you already saw. Hire, no surprises on Day 1. Vetano moves proof to the front.

A filter between your applicants and you.

Applicants pass through Vetano before they reach you. Government ID verified. Proof of skill on video. Intro video. Video references (optional). Sample profiles: Dana R., Executive Chef. Michael S., HVAC Technician. Luis M., Barber.
