Schools FAQ
Questions from schools and workforce boards
Answers for career services staff: cost, paperwork, what students record, what employers see, and what Vetano does not verify.
What this costs, what your students record, what employers see, and where our verification stops. Back to Vetano for schools.
Cost and paperwork
- Is there a cost to our institution? No. There is nothing for a school or workforce board to buy. Vetano is free for candidates, and employers pay to post.
- Is there a contract or agreement to sign? No. You can point completers at Vetano today. Nothing is required to start.
- Do we need to integrate anything with our systems? No. There is no data feed, no single sign-on, and no software to install.
- Can we hand out a flyer or a link to our students? Yes. Link students to the student section on Vetano for schools and ask us for a print version.
- What does it cost the student? Nothing. Creating a profile, verifying identity, recording videos, and applying to jobs are all free for candidates.
Students and their information
- Do students need a resume? No. Students verify their identity, record a short intro video, and record proof of their skill.
- What if a student has no work history yet? A completer can film the task itself and let the work speak instead of a thin resume.
- What information does Vetano collect from students? Identity verification handled by Persona, an intro video, a proof-of-skill video, and contact details. See the privacy policy.
- What happens to a student's videos and data? Students own their profile and can re-record media, edit details, or ask us to delete their account at any time.
- Can we see which of our completers signed up? Not automatically. Profiles belong to the student and we do not report individual activity back to an institution.
Employers and verification limits
- What do employers actually see? Identity confirmed against a government ID, an intro video, the work itself on video, and any certifications the candidate lists.
- Does Vetano do background checks? No. Background checks, credit checks, license verification, and employment eligibility checks stay with the employer.
- Does Vetano confirm licenses or certifications? No. Candidates list credentials on their profile and employers verify them the way they do today.
- Which employers are on Vetano? Employers in Connecticut, New York, and New Jersey across trade and hourly programs. Vetano is new and growing city by city.
- Who do we contact with questions? Use the form on this page, email hello@vetano.com, or book a 15-minute call.
