Answers to the most common questions about Vetano: skill videos, ID verification, gigs, pricing, and how hiring works for both talent and employers.
Everything you need to know about Vetano, skill videos, ID verification, Connections, gigs, pricing, and how hiring works for both talent and employers.
- Do I still need a resume?
- Vetano is video-first. Some employers may still request a resume, but Vetano is designed to start with proof of skill, not paper credentials.
- How long should skill videos be?
- Keep it short and specific, usually 10-45 seconds per skill is enough. The goal is to show real ability fast, not create a full demo reel.
- Is it free for talent to create a profile?
- Yes, creating a profile and applying to jobs is completely free for talent.
- What industries is Vetano best for?
- Restaurants, salons & barbershops, skilled trades (HVAC, plumbing, electrical), automotive, construction, retail, and other performance-based roles.
- What is a Connection?
- A Connection is how private messaging works on Vetano. Messaging only opens after a Connection request is accepted. This keeps conversations between ID-verified people and reduces spam. Connections are not follow requests and are not required to apply for jobs.
- How does ID verification work?
- Vetano uses government ID verification to reduce fake profiles and improve trust. Verification helps employers engage with real people, and helps serious talent stand out.
- Can employers post a job and link it anywhere?
- Yes! Post your job wherever you already post (Indeed, Craigslist, Facebook), and include your Vetano job link to funnel applicants into one place with verified skill videos.
- Can talent earn money with gigs?
- Yes, gigs help people earn extra income, stay busy between jobs, and build momentum. Some use gig work as primary income, and Vetano supports that.
- Is it free to apply for jobs?
- Yes. Creating a profile and applying to jobs is completely free. Applying to gigs is free too. You only pay if you want Talent Pro to post your own gigs.
- What are gigs exactly?
- Gigs are flexible, short-term work, event shifts, seasonal help, side projects, and more. Businesses post gigs, and talent picks them up on their own schedule.
- Do employers get gig posts too?
- Yes, every employer plan includes gig posts. Employers can post gigs to find short-term help without any additional cost beyond their plan.
- Can employers try Vetano for free?
- Yes! Employers can post one job for free for a limited time to try Vetano with real applicants. No credit card required.
- Do I need a Connection to apply for jobs?
- No. Applying to jobs is free for talent. Connections are only needed when private messaging needs to open.
- Do I need Pro to be contacted by employers?
- No. If an employer is interested, they can send you a Connection request and you can accept it at no cost.
- Why would talent send a Connection request?
- Connections are talent-to-talent. Send one if you want to start a private conversation with another verified talent user, to collaborate, share work, or refer each other to gigs. You don't send Connection requests to businesses; you apply to their jobs or gigs instead. Talent Pro is required to send Connection requests.
- Why does Vetano use Connections instead of open DMs?
- Open DMs invite spam and unwanted contact. Permission-based messaging keeps conversations between ID-verified people who both agreed to talk.
- Is Vetano only for hands-on or trade roles?
- No. Vetano is built for any role where proof helps you stand out. Hands-on candidates show skill clips, certifications, and before-and-after work. Desk, sales, customer service, admin, marketing, operations, recruiting, and entry-level candidates can use intro videos, presentations, writing samples, sales pitches, project walkthroughs, portfolios, certificates, and volunteer work.
